Tips for Feeding a Crowd

  1. Stretch that budget. Add inexpensive rice, pasta, corn or beans to feed more people with your casserole.
  2. Time-saver sauces. How many cooks actually have time to make sauces from scratch? And besides, most of us are just fine with pre-made sauces, like alfredo or marinara, which can save several minutes or up to hours of work. Toss them in with some cooked pasta, saving time and delivering a great-tasting dish.
  3. Freeze! Don’t worry about leftovers; casseroles taste even better the second day! Another great way to save some money and time is to freeze your casserole for later in the week.
  4. How Much to Make?
    • 1 1/2-quart casserole dish = 6 cups
    • 2-quart casserole dish = 8 cups
    • 3-quart casserole dish = 12 cups (Most recipes that call for a 3-quart casserole dish make 12 to 15 servings.)
