About Our Partnership With Pillsbury’s support, Operation Homefront will continue to proudly serve America’s military families in ways that show care, concern and compassion for each individual and their communities. “We are absolutely thrilled to partner with Pillsbury to provide financial assistance to military families who are struggling to make ends meet,” says John I Pray Jr., president and CEO of Operation Homefront. “Their very generous and helpful donation is designed to support the residents in our highly regarded Transitional Housing program and allows us to meet the needs of this very deserving group of our fellow Americans and give them the opportunity to thrive in the communities they have worked so hard to protect.” Support Operation Homefront Support Operation Homefront Your donation goes to help military families in need when they need it most of all. Donate Now Donate Now We Help Provide Critical Financial Assistance For many military families, transitioning to civilian life can often be financially challenging. Pillsbury will provide approximately two months’ worth of financial assistance that Operation Homefront can use to help families with critical needs like groceries, rent or mortgage, utilities or car repairs. Transitional Housing Villages Since 2008, Operation Homefront has housed nearly 600 families during their transition from military to civilian life in rent-free apartments in three locations: San Diego, Calif., Gaithersburg, Md. and San Antonio, Texas. To help veteran families easily transition into their new communities, Pillsbury will provide a selection of Pillsbury products, groceries and supplies to all families that move into one of Operation Homefront’s transitional housing village apartments during the next year. Community Dinners Pillsbury will host community dinners at each of Operation Homefront’s three rent-free transitional housing villages. Wounded veteran families in San Antonio enjoyed a dinner in early February, giving them a chance to connect with their new community over food and build relationships with other families in the program.
