HOW WILL FINALISTS BE SELECTED?

Judges will select 100 recipes from all eligible entries received, and the entrants whose recipes are selected by the Judges will become potential finalists (each, a “Potential Finalist”). In the event that fewer than 100 eligible recipes are submitted, the judges may select fewer than 100 finalist recipes. WHAT HAPPENS IF I BECOME A FINALIST?

General Mills will advise Potential Finalists of their status after review of all documents submitted. Reasonable accommodations will be provided for substantiated disabilities at the sole discretion of General Mills. General Mills will select and supply the ingredients and cooking equipment to be used during preliminary judging and at the Contest Finals. General Mills in its sole discretion may also choose not to replace any Finalist(s).

If Finalist resides within a one hundred (100) mile radius of Nashville, TN (a “local resident”), in lieu of the round trip air transportation portion of the trip, the Finalist will receive round-trip ground transportation of General Mills’ choice between Finalist’s residence and the hotel. HOW WILL THE RECIPE CATEGORY AND GRAND PRIZE WINNERS BE SELECTED?

The Grand Prize will be awarded based on a combination of points awarded by the Judging Panel and points awarded through a public vote.

Judging Panel. The Judging Panel will select the best finalist recipe in each of the four recipe categories from the 100 finalist recipes (the “Category Finalists”), and will rank the four Category Finalists. The Category Finalist ranked first by the Judging Panel will receive 44 points, second place will receive 33 points, third place will receive 22 points, and fourth place will receive 11 points.

Public Vote. The four Category Finalists will be placed online at www.facebook.com/pillsbury for public voting following the Contest Finals (the “Voting Period”). During the Voting Period, consumers 18 years of age or older as of November 4, 2014, who are residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia, will be able to vote for their favorite category-winning recipe using the judging criteria above. A Facebook account is required to vote and is available for free at www.facebook.com. Limit one vote per person during the Voting Period. The Category Finalist with the highest number of eligible public votes will receive 36 points, second place will receive 27 points, third place will receive 18 points, and fourth place will receive 9 points.

To determine the Grand Prize winning recipe, the points awarded by the Judging Panel will be added to the points awarded by the public voting for each recipe. The Category Finalist recipe receiving the most total points will be deemed the Grand Prize winning recipe. The remaining three Category Finalist recipes will be deemed the Recipe Category Prize Winners for their respective recipe categories. There will be no Recipe Category Prize Winner for the Grand Prize winning recipe’s category. In the event of a tie between two or more Category Finalist recipes, the Grand Prize will be awarded to the recipe receiving the most points from the Judging Panel.

Finalists are prohibited from obtaining votes by any fraudulent or inappropriate means, including, without limitation, paying for votes; offering sweepstakes/contest entries, prizes or inducements; agreeing to exchange votes with another person; offering any consideration or incentive of any kind whatsoever to persons in exchange for votes; or other means, as determined by General Mills in its sole discretion. Any attempt by a potential finalist, his/her family or friends, or any other individual to obtain votes using any mechanism that violates these Official Rules, or any other kind of fraudulent or inappropriate mechanism, as determined by General Mills in its sole discretion, shall give General Mills the right to void the votes in question and/or disqualify the potential finalist in its sole discretion. Votes must be entered manually. Votes generated by script, macro, bot or other automated means or which subvert or impair the integrity of the voting process will be void, as determined by General Mills in its sole discretion.
