The Doughboy’s Favorite Dinner Memory: Breakfast for Dinner

Updated November 19, 2019
Blueberry-Cream Cheese Monkey Bread and the Pillsbury Doughboy
Just like almost every kid ever, the Doughboy’s favorite meal is breakfast for dinner (followed closely by breakfast for lunch and breakfast for breakfast).

Really, what could be better than a cheesy egg bake, a plate of warm, fresh-baked biscuits and a pile of crispy bacon at the end of the day? Not only is it a stress-free, crowd-pleasing meal for Mom or Dad to make during the final week before Christmas, but it’s always a winner for the littles, too.

Because when you make “brinner” (that’s what the Doughboy calls breakfast for dinner), everyone gets to eat something different from the usual meat-and-potatoes-type fare: and that something is not only delicious, but it also feels like it breaks the rules a little bit (and who doesn’t need to do that every once in a while?). While we’re at it, let’s get into our coziest Christmas jammies, too—and maybe even serve up brinner with a mug of hot cocoa and marshmallows, just this once.

Put out the festive dishes or paper plates, light some candles or turn up the holiday tunes, and enjoy a delicious breakfast-for-dinner memory to treasure forever, starting with our favorite easy recipes.
