Grilled Hot Wings
These hot and spicy grilled hot wings will be the hit of your next tailgating party.

Whenever I think of tailgating foods, I think of wings. They’re a flavorful finger food that guys and gals love. But chicken wing perfection isn’t easily accomplished...unless you’re using a grill. I’ve cooked wings every which way imaginable, and grilling them over low heat is always the foolproof way for getting chicken wings with the crispiest skin.

The best thing to do is grill them on your gas grill on the lowest heat setting. (You can also use a charcoal grill with indirect heat.) Just season chicken wings with salt, pepper and a little cayenne pepper and place them on your grill. Cover the grill and walk away. Don’t continually check on the wings by lifting the lid; this will just slow down the cooking process. Also, don’t flip the wings until they are ready.

When the wings are golden brown on one side, flip them over and continue to cook them until they are a deep golden brown all over.

Remove the wings from the grill and place in a bowl. Prepare some hot sauce with melted butter and pour over the wings. Toss to coat.

Serve your wings with a little blue cheese dressing, celery sticks and baby carrots. Yummy!
