Mac and cheese is one of those no-fail family favorites, yet it never quite gets the credit it deserves. I love how the simple additions of frozen veggies and a creamy Alfredo sauce can totally transform the kid-approved classic. Bake the whole thing in the oven and you’ve got yourself a keeper!
Here's how I make it my own:
- Since we’re a small family, I sometimes make a half batch and bake it in a 9-inch square casserole pan.
- Swap out carrots for frozen peas.
- Skip the crumb topping to cut back on cook time (and calories). Just be sure to heat the pasta sauce thoroughly before serving.
