More About This Recipe

  • The Peanut Blossom paved the way for peanut cookies with a giant candy in the center in the late 1950s, and we’ve been obsessed with the concept ever since. This easy recipe puts a mini Reese’s peanut butter cup in the center in place of the traditional Hershey’s chocolate kiss, and to make things even better, we added candy to the peanut butter dough, too. Topping the dough with the peanut butter cups immediately after the cookies come out of the oven is an essential step for this recipe to work. At this point, the center of the cookies will be extremely soft, and it will be easy to press the candies into the center. If you wait too long, the cookies will start to set, and your dough can break apart. Once your cookies have completely cooled, you can store them in an airtight container at room temperature. Place waxed paper between the cookie layers to prevent sticking! Can’t get enough of peanut butter cookies? Try these next!
