Delight your Ninja Turtles® fans with a cupcake and cookie in one dessert -- perfect for your kids’ Ninja Turtles® themed birthday parties.

Ingredients

box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix with pudding
Water, oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
1
package Pillsbury™ Ready to Bake!™ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles® sugar cookies
Red, orange, blue or purple pouch cookie icing
1
container (16 oz) vanilla creamy ready-to-spread frosting
Colored jimmies or candy sprinkles

Steps

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Place paper baking cup in each of 24 regular-size muffin cups. Bake cake as directed on box for cupcakes; cool completely, about 30 minutes. Bake cookies as directed on package; cool completely, about 15 minutes.
  • 2 Pipe colored cookie icing onto each cookie, outlining turtle mask. Allow icing to set 15 minutes.
  • 3 Frost cupcakes with vanilla frosting; roll edges in jimmies. With sharp knife, cut small slit in top of frosted cupcake, and carefully insert bottom half of cookie to stand upright. Continue to use remaining cookies and cupcakes.

Expert Tips

Cookies can be made a day ahead to speed up decorating.

If you don’t have cookie icing, substitute tinted vanilla frosting instead by transferring a small amount to a resealable food-storage plastic bag. Cut a small corner off the bag, and pipe onto cookie, outlining the turtle mask.
