Feel the California love with this yummy cheeseburger mac riff on the west coast drive-through classic.

Ingredients

1
tablespoon butter
1 1/2
cups thinly sliced onions
1
lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
2

1/4
cup Thousand Island dressing
1
medium tomato, diced

Steps

  • 1 In 12-inch nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add onion; cook 6 to 8 minutes, stirring frequently, until onions brown; transfer to small bowl.

Expert Tips

While any frozen French fries will work, thin-cut fries offer a nice crunchy texture that’s delicious with the creamy pasta.

Not a fan of Thousand Island dressing? Ranch makes a nice creamy substitute.
