Tips from the Pillsbury Kitchens

  • tip 1
Bar cookies can be easily cut into rectangles or squares. For a more festive look, cut into diamonds or triangles. Use a thin, sharp knife or a serrated knife for easier cutting. • To cut triangles, cut bar cookies into squares (2 to 2 1/2 inches), then simply cut each square in half diagonally. • To cut diamonds, begin by cutting straight parallel lines down the length of the pan, abut 1 1/2 inches apart. Next, make diagonal cuts across the straight cuts 1 1/2 inches apart, keeping the lines as even as possible. At each end of the pan, you'll end up with irregularly shaped pieces that are great for nibbling!
