Oh, You Turkey! Cinnamon Roll Turkeys for Breakfast

Start your Thanksgiving morning with a sweet roll. Everyone will gobble, gobble them up!

With the hustle and bustle of preparing Thanksgiving dinner, we sometimes forget about making breakfast time just as special. These super cute Cinnamon Roll Turkeys are a snap to prepare and, if you involve your little ones in the decorating, can be a fun and special breakfast treat that everyone in the family will enjoy.

When I first pulled out the tube of Pillsbury Grands! Cinnamon Rolls my 10 year old ran over and eagerly asked me what I was doing. She, knowing full well that I was about to make something delicious, wanted to be the first in line to taste test. After I told her I was making Cinnamon Roll Turkeys, she looked confused. “Are you going to put turkey into our cinnamon rolls?”

Nope. Even better: bacon!

Cinnamon Roll Turkeys

Start by placing the cinnamon rolls about three inches apart on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Unwrap the ends of each cinnamon roll and carefully tuck them into the swirl — this will create the neck of the turkey! Pop the rolls in the oven and, while they’re baking, crisp up some bacon.

Once the cinnamon rolls are done, stick half-strips of bacon in the backside of the roll so they look like tail feathers.

Almost done! Simply frost the cinnamon rolls and decorate with some candy eyeballs, candy corn and a mini red candy-coated chocolate, which will act as the turkey’s gobbler.

Just make sure to tell your family that they are Cinnamon Roll Turkeys, not Turkey Cinnamon Rolls. They’ll be indulging in plenty of turkey later in the day!
