STEP ONE: MIX THE SAUCE
Mix together the brown sugar, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Rub the mixture onto the ribs, coating both sides of the meat.
STEP FOUR: BROIL AND SERVE
Set the oven control to broil and spray a broiler pan with cooking spray. Then pour the barbecue sauce into a shallow bowl. Dip the ribs into the sauce, coating both sides. Once coated, place the ribs on the broiler pan, rib side down. Broil the ribs with the tops 3 inches from the heat source for 3 to 4 minutes, just until the sauce sets up on the ribs. Then turn the ribs, and broil 3 to 5 minutes longer, just until the sauce begins to caramelize. Serve the ribs with the remaining barbecue sauce.
