Ingredients

  • 36 frozen cooked meatballs, 1 inch (from 16-oz bag)
  • 18 fresh ciliegini mozzarella cheese (cherry-size) balls, halved
  • 1/3 cup sliced ripe olives
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 36 toothpicks

Steps

  • 1
Heat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheet with sides with foil. Place meatballs on cookie sheet.
  • 2
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until hot. Place 1 halved cheese ball, cut side down, on each meatball to look like white of eye; place olive slice in center to look like pupil of eye. Poke toothpick in center of each to hold in place.
  • 3
Bake 1 to 2 minutes longer or until cheese is slightly softened. Serve with ketchup for dipping.

Tips from the Pillsbury Kitchens

  • tip 1
If the mozzarella balls are not completely round, slice in half on the longer side to make an almond-shaped eye.
  • tip 2
Meatballs come in different flavors. Experiment to find your favorite.
