Cranberry and raspberry sauce bubbles over cocktail sausages, providing balance and interest to this quick appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (16 oz) whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1/3 cup seedless raspberry jam
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper sauce
  • 2 packages (1 lb each) cocktail-size smoked link sausages
  • 2 tablespoons sliced green onions (2 medium)

Steps

    In 3-quart saucepan, mix all ingredients except onions. Heat to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring frequently.

    Reduce heat to low; cook uncovered 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sausages are hot. Spoon into serving dish; sprinkle with onions.

    These are terrific to serve to a crowd. Place the hot sausage mixture in a 3 1/2-quart slow cooker. Turn the heat setting to Low to keep it warm for guests, or use a chafing dish for serving.
