Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (at least 80% lean)
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
- 1 can (7 oz) corn, drained
- 1 can (4 oz) Old El Paso™ Chopped Green Chiles
- 1 packet (1 oz) Old El Paso™ Original Taco Seasoning Mix
- 1/3 cup water
- 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (3 oz)
- 1 can (4 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Rolls (4 Count)
Instructions
-
Step1Heat oven to 375°F. Spray 8-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray. In 10-inch nonstick skillet, cook beef, onion and bell pepper over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is no longer pink; drain.
-
Step2Stir corn, green chiles, taco seasoning mix and water into beef mixture in skillet. Heat to simmering over medium heat. Simmer 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened. Spoon into baking dish. Top beef mixture with 1/2 cup of the cheese.
-
Step3Unroll dough; separate into two 6x4-inch rectangles. Place one rectangle next to the other to create a 6x8-inch rectangle. Press seams together and press out to create an 8-inch square.
-
Step4Place dough in baking dish on top of cheese layer, and tuck in edges. Top with remaining 1/4 cup cheese. Bake 16 to 20 minutes or until deep golden brown and crescent is baked through.
