Make these decorative peppermint sticks topped with candy coating - a perfect dessert for gift-giving.

Ingredients

  • 3 oz white candy melts or coating wafers (1/2 cup)
  • 1/3 cup white nonpareils
  • 12 hard peppermint stick candies (5 inch)

Steps

    Line cookie sheet with waxed paper. Melt candy coating as directed on package. In glass pie plate, place nonpareils.
  • 2
    Spoon melted coating over each peppermint stick, covering three-fourths of stick. Shake off excess coating. Sprinkle nonpareils over coated sticks. Place on cookie sheet. Let stand until coating is firm.
