Chocolate Chip-Strawberry Shortcakes

This quick and easy version of shortcakes has an added bonus: chocolate.

  • 1 package (16 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Ready to Bake!™ Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (12 Count)
  • 1 1/2 to 2 cups whipped topping
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced fresh strawberries

    Bake cookies as directed on package. Remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack; cool completely.

    To make shortcakes, top 6 cookies with whipped topping. Arrange a few strawberry slices on top of whipped topping. Top with remaining cookies.

  • You can use any ready-to-bake Pillsbury™ refrigerated chocolate chip cookies, if you don't have a package of Pillsbury™ Simply…™ refrigerated chocolate chip cookies.
  • Other fresh fruit can be used instead of the sliced strawberries.
  • If you prefer, you can place the strawberry shortcakes in the freezer and you have chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches!
