Caraway Brussels Sprouts

tablespoons finely chopped red onion

teaspoon caraway seed

lb. (4 cups) fresh Brussels sprouts, halved vertically*
1/3
cup water
1/2
teaspoon chicken-flavor instant bouillon

teaspoons lemon juice
Dash pepper

    Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot. Add onion and caraway seed; cook and stir 1 minute. Add Brussels sprouts; cook and stir an additional 1 minute.

    Add water and bouillon. Reduce heat to low; cover and cook 6 to 10 minutes or until Brussels sprouts are crisp-tender. Stir in lemon juice and pepper.

Expert Tips

  • * One 1-lb. pkg. frozen Brussels sprouts can be substituted for fresh. Place Brussels sprouts in colander or large strainer; rinse with warm water until partially thawed. Halve Brussels sprouts vertically.
