packages (12 oz each) garlic and artichoke sausages or cooked kielbasa sausages

cans (15 oz each) great northern beans
1
can (14.5 oz) petite diced tomatoes, undrained

cup frozen chopped onions, thawed

cup red wine or Progresso® beef flavored broth
1/3
cup crumbled cooked bacon
1
teaspoon Italian seasoning
1
teaspoon finely chopped garlic
1/2
teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Salt and ground black pepper

  • 1 Cut sausages diagonally into 1/2-inch-thick slices. In 5-quart slow cooker, stir together all ingredients until combined.
  • 2 Cover; cook on High heat setting 4 to 6 hours. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

I used beef smoked sausage and tomato sauce instead of the diced tomatoes and it was super yummy! Served it with cornbread...this is now going to be one of our regular meals!

@moosey123 - I wondered about the number of servings as well... but when I printed the recipe it shows it makes 7 servings (at about 1.5 cups each).

****************Absolutely marvelous************************ I added: pinto beans, french onion soup, chicken broth and molasses. Had crackers with it for lunch today. Had hot water cornbead with it tonight. Perfect for cold weather Friday night.
