Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Dash pepper
  • 3/4 lb. beef round sandwich tip steaks (1/8 inch thick)
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 (4- to 6-inch) French rolls, split
  • 4 leaves romaine lettuce, if desired

    In large nonstick skillet, combine broth, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce and pepper. Bring to a boil. Add steaks and onion; cook over medium-high heat for 2 to 4 minutes or until beef is of desired doneness, turning once.

    To serve, drizzle cooking liquid over cut surfaces of rolls. Layer lettuce, steak and onion in rolls.
