Ingredients

Steps

  • 1
Heat waffle maker; grease generously with oil. Separate dough into 8 biscuits; set icing aside.
  • 2
Place 2 biscuits at a time on hot waffle maker. Close lid of waffle maker; bake 2 to 3 minutes or until light golden brown. Carefully remove waffles. Repeat with remaining biscuits, greasing waffle maker between each set.
  • 3
In small microwavable bowl, microwave icing uncovered on High 5 to 10 seconds or until thin enough to drizzle. Drizzle waffles with icing and chocolate syrup. Top with mini chips; serve warm.

Tips from the Pillsbury Kitchens

  • tip 1
We found a Belgian-style waffle maker (with larger grates) works best for waffling biscuits.
  • tip 2
Be sure to grease waffle maker between batch of waffles to help prevent biscuits from sticking and burning. Cleanup is a breeze when you wrap a paper towel around the end of a wooden kitchen utensil, like the wooden handle of a spatula. Carefully push paper towel through waffle grates to help clean up any residue from baking.
  • tip 3
Keep cooked waffles on a cookie sheet in your oven on the "warm" setting while you finish making all the waffles. If you don't have a warm setting, set the oven to 200°F.
  • tip 4
After waffling, cut each biscuit into 3 strips to create "waffle dippers" for a fun and dippable kid-friendly breakfast or snack. Choose a variety of dips to serve alongside, such as the biscuit icing, chocolate or caramel topping, dulce de leche or any other toppings like sprinkles or mini chocolate chips.
  • tip 5
Have fun with your toppings! Dress up your waffles with other favorite sundae-inspired toppers, like caramel topping, sprinkles, chopped nuts, sliced bananas or maraschino cherries.
  • tip 6
Serve these biscuit waffles topped with a scoop of ice cream for an indulgent dessert.
