If you’re looking for a reason to get your friends together, I’ve got a unique idea that’ll be hard for guests to refuse: Buttermilk Biscuit Day. (Psst, it’s May 14, but you can celebrate any day you like!) I’ve got the quick how-to for hosting a good ol’ Southern Biscuit Bar. What is a biscuit bar, you ask? Why, it’s the easiest entertaining idea EVER!!
Once they’re baked to a delicious golden brown, set them out on a pretty serving platter. I used a cake stand to make room for all the toppings below. Think jellies, honey, peanut butter and bananas. You can even set the toppings out in their original jars. I quickly scooped them onto serving bowls, but kept it simple with what I had on hand: ice cream cups and mason jars. Mismatched makes it fun and unique!
I even like to serve up more savory options like this set-and-forget
Slow-Cooker ham, mustard, bacon, and classic pimento cheese.
The sky is the limit where you can come up with however many creative toppings you want! Then, the guests do the rest of the work, creating their biscuit sandwiches. Many will surprise you with their combos and someone may introduce you to a new favorite!
