Updated Apr 2, 2014

Ingredients

  • 6 cups Trix™ cereal
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup white candy melts or coating wafers (3 oz)
  • 13 pretzel sticks, broken in half
  • 50 candy-coated chocolate candies

Steps

  • 1
Line cookie sheet with waxed paper. In large bowl, place cereal.
  • 2
In 4-quart saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and vanilla; stir until marshmallows are completely melted. Remove from heat. Pour marshmallow mixture over cereal in bowl, stirring until well coated. Cool 5 minutes.
  • 3
With greased hands, roll 1/4 cup cereal mixture into ball. Place on cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining cereal mixture. In medium microwavable bowl, microwave candy melts uncovered on High 1 minute. Dip 1 end of each pretzel stick into melted candy; attach to balls to look like antennae. Spoon remaining melted candy into resealable food-storage plastic bag; seal bag. Cut off tiny corner of bag; squeeze bag to pipe melted candy onto chocolate candies. Attach 2 chocolate candies to front of each ball for eyes.

Tips from the Pillsbury Kitchens

  • tip 1
For flexible antennae, try using candy sour straws cut into 2-inch pieces instead of pretzels.
