Chocolate adds a twist to this spicy steak soup that's made using Progresso® beef flavored broth.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 lb. beef top round steak, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1 large onion, cut into wedges
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 3 teaspoons chili powder
  • 3 1/2 cups Progresso™ beef flavored broth (from 32-oz. carton)
  • 1 (14.5-oz.) can Mexican-style stewed tomatoes, undrained
  • 2 chipotle chiles in adobo sauce, chopped
  • 1 oz. unsweetened chocolate

Steps

    Heat oil in Dutch oven over medium-high heat until hot. Add beef, onion, garlic, cumin and chili powder; cook and stir until beef is browned.

    Add all remaining ingredients; mix well. Cover; cook 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until beef is fork-tender, stirring occasionally. If desired, top individual servings with sour cream.
