Slow-Cooker Beans and Wieners

Mix up six ingredients in the slow cooker, and you’ll have a simple main dish for eight.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb hot dogs, each cut into 4 pieces
  • 3 cans (15 oz each) pork and beans in tomato sauce, undrained
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion (1/2 medium)
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 2 teaspoons yellow mustard

    In 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker, mix ingredients.

    Cover; cook on Low heat setting 5 to 6 hours.

  • Bratwurst or Polish sausages can be used in place of the hot dogs in this recipe. Cut them into thick slices. Enjoy this stew with cornbread.
