A flavorful cheese base is topped with salsa and shrimp in this elegant appetizer to serve with crackers.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup thick & chunky salsa
  • 2 tablespoons cocktail sauce
  • 1 bag (7 oz) frozen cooked salad shrimp, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons sliced green onions (2 medium)
  • Crackers or tortilla chips

    In medium bowl, beat cream cheese, garlic powder and onion powder with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. On dinner plate, spread cheese mixture into flat, round shape.

    In another medium bowl, gently mix salsa, cocktail sauce and shrimp. Gently spoon over cream cheese to within 1/2 inch of edge. Sprinkle with onions. Serve with crackers.
