Lasagna Biscuit Bites

Want to get that heavenly lasagna flavor without all the work? How about a lasagna bites appetizer? These sausage- and ricotta-filled biscuit bites take the effort out of the traditional pasta bake while delivering all of the classic lasagna flavors in a handheld snack. Serve up a plate of mini lasagna bites for a tasty party appetizer or fun family snack.

    Heat oven to 350°F. Line large cookie sheet with cooking parchment paper. In medium bowl, stir together 1/4 cup of the marinara sauce, the Italian cheese blend, sausage and ricotta cheese.

    Separate dough into 8 biscuits; separate each biscuit into 2 layers. Press each into 4-inch round. Spoon about 1 tablespoonful sausage mixture onto center of each round. Gently fold edges up and over filling; pinch to seal.

    Brush melted butter on top of each biscuit; sprinkle tops with Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.

    Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until biscuit tops are golden brown and inside mixture is heated through (at least 165°F in center). Heat remaining cup of marinara sauce; serve with biscuit bites.
