A luscious warm spread which has all the classic flavors of Reuben. Slow-cook it at ease and serve with toasted bread slices.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese (8 oz)
  • 3/4 cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 1/2 lb sliced cooked corned beef, coarsely chopped
  • 1 can (16 oz) sauerkraut, rinsed, well drained
  • 1 package (3 oz) cream cheese, cubed
  • Cocktail rye bread slices, toasted, if desired

    In 1 1/2- to 3-quart slow cooker, mix all ingredients except bread.

    Cover; cook on Low heat setting 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours.

    Stir spread before serving. Serve with toasted bread slices.
