Tips from the Pillsbury Kitchens

  • tip 1
Chicken drummettes or drummies are popular appetizers at home or in restaurants. Drummettes are available in various sizes of packages in the meat department near the poultry. Or you can make your own from packages of whole chicken wings. Cut the tips from the wings and then cut through the joint to make 2 pieces.
  • tip 2
Use kitchen scissors to trim any excess skin from drummettes.
  • tip 3
These drummettes are a great make-ahead, no-fuss appetizer. When the dip is prepared one day ahead, the flavors blend and develop nicely. Cover the dip and refrigerate it until serving. The drummettes can marinate overnight, and they require little attention while they bake.
