Serve these hot from the oven and enjoy the leftovers later. They´re great eating either way.
MIXING MUFFINS For tender, moist muffins, combine the dry ingredients, and any additions like blueberries or nuts, by stirring them together in a large bowl. Push this flour mixture up the sides of the bowl to make a well. Combine the liquid ingredients and pour this mixture all at once into the well. Stir only to moisten the dry ingredients, counting 12 to 15 strokes. The batter will remain lumpy.
