How to Do Thanksgiving in One Grocery Trip

It can be done and it can be stress-free! Here’s the game plan: one grocery list, one grocery trip, and one unforgettable Thanksgiving feast. One-two-three, break!

Grocery List

Produce

  • 2 bags (12 oz. each) frozen cut green beans
  • 3 ½ lbs. sweet potatoes
  • 8 to 10 (or 3 lbs.) medium russet potatoes
  • 3 stalks of celery
  • 1 large onion
  • 6 medium apples

Meat & Deli

  • ½ lb. bulk hot pork sausage
  • ½ lb. bulk pork sausage
  • 1 whole (18 lbs.) turkey

Dairy

  • 1 container (8 oz.) spicy jalapeño cream cheese spread
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 1 stick of unsalted butter
  • 1 carton (1/2 gallon) of milk
  • 1 carton (12 oz.) of evaporated milk or half and half
  • 2 eggs

Breads and Doughs

  • 1 can Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent dinner rolls or crescent dough sheet
  • 1 can Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Flaky Layers refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
  • 1 loaf (1 lb.) French bread

  • 1 container French-fried onions (you will need 1 ½ cups)
  • 2 cartons (32 oz. each) Progresso™ chicken broth
  • 1 can (15 oz.) pumpkin

Seasonings

  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Pumpkin pie spice
  • Dried sage leaves
  • Garlic salt
  • Dried oregano leaves
  • Dried rosemary leaves
  • Ground mustard

  • Ground red pepper (cayenne)

Baking Ingredients

  • 1 bag of brown sugar
  • 1 package of all-purpose flour
  • 1 package of sugar
  • 1 lemon or 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • Vanilla
  • Olive oil
  • 1 bag of miniature marshmallows
