What I love about these roll-ups is how surprisingly easy they are to make. All you do is cut the crescent dough into squares, spoon some of the cheesecake mixture in the middle, roll, fry, sprinkle, and enjoy! You can even make a buffet of dipping sauces like strawberry, chocolate and caramel. People can dip away! Just make sure they know they can’t double dip. Yea, that’s kinda gross.
OK, so to start you take care of a bit of prep work. Line a large plate with paper towels. In small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon. Set aside. Pinch the end of the seam into the dough to secure the cream cheese inside.
In a skillet, heat canola oil to 325°F. Carefully place roll-ups in hot oil. . Allow to fry on one side for about 30 seconds to a minute and flip to the other side until golden brown. Remove from the oil and place on a plate that is lined with a paper towel. Immediately sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture and turn to another plate or cooling rack to let cool for about 10 minutes or more and serve!
