Pillsbury™ refrigerated pie crust, softened as directed on box
egg, beaten
teaspoons finely crumbled chèvre (goat) cheese
cup finely chopped cooked ham

    Heat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheet with foil or cooking parchment paper.

    Remove pie crust from pouch; unroll on lightly floured work surface. Using 2-inch star-shaped cookie cutter, cut out 24 stars. (Reroll scraps and cut additional stars, if desired.) Lightly brush stars with egg.

    Divide cheese and ham evenly among 12 of the stars. Place second star on top of each; gently press edges to seal. Place on cookie sheet. Lightly brush tops with egg.

    Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.

Expert Tips

  • Any type of soft cheese, such as blue cheese, cream cheese or Brie, can be used instead of goat cheese.
  • Use leftover ham, ham steak or any cooked ham for this recipe. Turkey or chicken can be substituted.
