HERB BUTTER: Add 1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme or 1/8 teaspoon dried thyme leaves, and 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice to butter.
ORANGE-WALNUT BUTTER: Add 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts and 1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel to butter.
