GRILL DIRECTIONS: Heat grill. In medium saucepan, combine barbecue sauce, honey, garlic and salt; blend well. Bring to a boil; cover and simmer 5 minutes.
  • 2
When ready to grill, place chicken on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals; cover grill. Cook 30 to 45 minutes or until chicken is fork-tender and juices run clear, turning once and brushing with sauce during last 10 minutes of cooking time. Bring any remaining sauce to a boil; serve with chicken.

Expert Tips

  • Use an instant-read meat thermometer to easily and quickly check the doneness of the chicken: When inserted into the thickest part of the chicken piece, not touching bone, it should read 165°F when fully cooked.
  • Serve chicken with corn on the cob and fresh fruit or a salad for a simple and hearty midsummer meal.
