Smoked cocktail sausages, chili and cheese dip swirl together on bratwurst buns in this flavor-packed meal.
Updated May 7, 2009

Ingredients

  • 1 package (1 lb) cocktail-size smoked link sausages, each cut into 3 pieces
  • 1 can (15 oz) or box (14.3 oz) chili without beans
  • 1/3 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup cheese dip (from 15-oz jar)
  • 2 tablespoons buffalo wing sauce (from 12-oz jar)
  • 8 bratwurst buns, split
  • 1 medium tomato, chopped (3/4 cup)

Steps

  • 1
In large bowl, mix all ingredients except buns and tomato. Cover; refrigerate up to 3 days.
  • 2
To make 1 chili dog, in small microwavable bowl, microwave about 1/2 cup sausage mixture, loosely covered, on High about 1 minute, stirring once halfway through heating, until hot. Spoon sausage mixture into bun; sprinkle with heaping tablespoon tomato.

Tips from the Pillsbury Kitchens

  • tip 1
If you have 1 pound of regular-size hot dogs on hand, cut them into 1-inch pieces and use them instead of the small sausages in this recipe. Old El Paso® taco sauce or salsa can be used in place of the buffalo wing sauce.
