Fifteen minutes is all you need to make these hearty barbecue pork sandwiches with a crown of pineapple and cheese.
Updated Feb 15, 2010

Ingredients

  • 6 sesame seed-topped sandwich buns, split
  • 3 cups refrigerated original barbecue sauce with shredded pork (from two 18-oz containers), heated as directed on container
  • 6 slices drained canned pineapple
  • 6 thin rings green bell pepper
  • 6 slices (1 oz each) Monterey Jack cheese

Steps

  • 1
Set oven control to broil. On ungreased cookie sheet, place bun halves, cut side up. Broil 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 2
Divide warm barbecue sauce with pork evenly onto bottom halves of buns. Top each with pineapple, bell pepper and cheese.
  • 3
Broil 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese is melted and begins to turn golden. Remove from cookie sheet; cover with top halves of buns.

Tips from the Pillsbury Kitchens

  • tip 1
