Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Dash salt
- 2/3 cup water
- 2 cups sweet cherries, pitted, halved
- 2 tablespoons kirsch or 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 pkg. fat-free brownies, cut into 6 pieces
- 3 cups nonfat vanilla ice cream

Step1In medium saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, salt and water. Cook over medium heat until mixture thickens, stirring constantly. Stir in cherries. Reduce heat to low; cook 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in kirsch.*

Step2To serve, place brownies on individual dessert plates. Top each with 1/2 cup ice cream. Spoon warm cherry sauce over ice cream. Serve immediately.
