Ingredients

  • 1
    (15-oz.) container refrigerated marinara sauce
  • 2
    tablespoons dry red wine
  • 1 1/2
cups frozen shelled deveined cooked medium shrimp (without tails)
  • 1/4
    cup sliced green onions
  • 1/8
    teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Steps

  • 1
In medium saucepan, combine all ingredients; mix well.
  • 2
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook 4 to 6 minutes or until shrimp are thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally. Serve over hot cooked pasta.

  • Marinara is a classic Italian meatless tomato sauce flavored with onions, garlic and oregano. Look for marinara sauce next to the refrigerated pasta.
  • Serve this dish with a spinach salad purchased from the produce department, and a crisp baguette from the bakery.
