Raspberry dressing provides a simple addition to this no-mess salad that's made using pomegranate, lettuce and spinach - a perfect side dish.

Ingredients

Dressing

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 cup raspberry or white wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil

Salad

  • 6 cups torn fresh spinach
  • 3 cups torn leaf lettuce
  • 3 cups torn iceberg lettuce
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds

Steps

    In small bowl or jar with tight-fitting lid, combine all dressing ingredients; mix well. If desired, refrigerate until serving time.

    To serve, combine all salad ingredients in large salad bowl. Stir dressing; pour over salad. Toss gently to coat greens.
