Ingredients

  • 1 can (6 oz) solid white tuna in water, drained, flaked
  • 1 cup finely shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 8 miniature sandwich buns (about 3 inch), split
  • 8 small leaves lettuce

Steps

  • 1
In medium bowl, mix tuna, cheese, celery, onion, mayonnaise and mustard.
  • 2
Spread tuna mixture on bottom halves of buns. Top with lettuce. Cover with top halves of buns. Serve immediately, or wrap each sandwich in plastic wrap and refrigerate up to 24 hours.

Tips from the Pillsbury Kitchens

  • tip 1
Miniature sandwich buns are often labeled "dollar buns" or "turkey buns." We've tested this recipe with 3-inch buns so if you buy some that are a bit smaller, just plan for a couple extra sandwiches.
