A popular Italian dish, Chicken Parmigiana, can be easily imitated by combining two great-tasting convenience products: pasta sauce and breaded chicken patties. Serve this with a tossed green salad and garlic toast to make the meal complete.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (12 oz) frozen breaded chicken breast patties
  • 2 slices (4x4-inch) mozzarella cheese, cut in half
  • 1 jar (14 oz) tomato pasta sauce

Steps

    Bake chicken patties as directed on package. Place cheese slice on each patty. Bake 1 to 2 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.

    Meanwhile, in 1-quart saucepan, heat pasta sauce over low heat, stirring occasionally. To serve, spoon warm sauce over each patty.

Place pasta sauce in 4-cup microwavable measuring cup or bowl. Cover with microwavable waxed paper. Microwave on High 4 to 5 minutes or until hot, stirring once halfway through cooking. To serve, spoon warm sauce over each patty.
