Horseradish provides a tasty addition to these beef bruschettas that are ready in 20 minutes - perfect appetizer for your Italian theme party.

Ingredients

  • 24 slices (1/4 inch thick) baguette
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup cream-style prepared horseradish
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 medium green onion, chopped (1 tablespoon)
  • 1/4 lb thinly sliced deli roast beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup watercress

Steps

    Heat oven to 375°F. Brush both sides of bread slices with oil. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake about 5 minutes or until crisp. Cool 5 minutes.

    In small bowl, mix horseradish, sour cream and onion. Spread mixture over 1 side of each toasted bread slice. Top with beef; sprinkle with pepper. Top with watercress.
