Garlicky Turkey Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup refrigerated shredded hash brown potatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing, if desired
  • 4 whole wheat hamburger buns, split
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 slices tomato, if desired

Instructions

    In medium bowl, combine all ingredients except mayonnaise, buns and lettuce; mix well. Shape into 4 (1/2-­inch-­thick) patties. Place patties on broiler pan.

    Broil 4 to 6 inches from heat for 8 to 10 minutes or until thermometer inserted in center of patties reads 165°F.

    Spread mayonnaise on cut sides of buns. Place lettuce, turkey burgers and tomato on bottom halves of buns. Cover with top halves of buns.
