Long-grain rice or orzo pasta can stand in for the macaroni. Or, omit the pasta altogether and serve the fruit as a dessert or afternoon snack.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz. (1 cup) uncooked macaroni rings or small shell pasta
  • 1 (11-oz.) can mandarin orange segments, drained
  • 1 (8-oz.) can pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1 cup halved green grapes
  • 1 (6-oz.) container low-fat lemon yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup halved strawberries

Steps

    Cook macaroni to desired doneness as directed on package. Drain; rinse with cold water to cool.

    In medium bowl, combine cooked macaroni and all remaining ingredients except strawberries; mix gently to coat. Cover; refrigerate 1 to 2 hours to blend flavors.

    Just before serving, stir in strawberries.
