Crystallized ginger makes these sugar cookies even sweeter. Then, top them with a drizzle of warm chocolate. Hello, heaven.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (16 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Ready to Bake!™ Sugar Cookie Dough (24 Count)
  • 1/8 to 1/4 cup chopped crystallized ginger
  • 1/3 cup bittersweet chocolate chips

Steps

    Heat oven to 350°F.
  • 2
    On ungreased cookie sheets, place cookie dough rounds about 2 inches apart. Lightly press about 1/4 teaspoon chopped ginger on top of each cookie dough round.

    Bake 11 to 15 minutes or until golden brown around edges. Cool 2 minutes before removing to cooling rack.

    In small microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips uncovered on High in 20-second intervals until chips can be stirred smooth. Drizzle over cookies.

  • Try white vanilla baking chips instead of bittersweet.
  • Try chopped dried cranberries instead of the ginger for another festive cookie idea.
