Chocolate and pecan add a rich flavor to this delicious brownie that’s baked to perfection - great dessert to serve a crowd.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup margarine or butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup All Purpose or Unbleached Flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 oz. semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

    Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 13x9-inch pan. In medium saucepan over low heat, melt margarine. Add sugar, vanilla and eggs; blend well.

    2 Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. Add flour, cocoa and salt; mix well. Stir in chocolate and pecans. Pour batter into greased pan.

    Bake at 350°F. for 30 to 40 minutes or until set. Cool 1 hour or until completely cooled. Cut into bars.
