Ingredients
- 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 box (8 oz) chopped dates (1 1/2 cups)
- 1 cup chopped candied green pineapple
- 1 cup chopped candied red cherries
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Instructions

Step1Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg; blend well. Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in dates, candied fruit and pecans. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Step2Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets. Cool completely.
