This black cat hot beer drink may not bring you bad luck but will surely brew up some fun and spice - ready to be served at your Halloween party in just 10 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (14.9 oz each) stout or dark beer
  • 1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • Cinnamon sticks, if desired

    In 3-quart saucepan, slowly pour beer. When foam subsides, heat over medium-low heat.

    Meanwhile, in 2-quart saucepan, heat water, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, ginger and cloves to simmering over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Stir mixture into beer. Cook 4 minutes or until thoroughly heated. DO NOT BOIL. Serve warm. Garnish with cinnamon sticks.
