Come home to a luscious beef brisket, slow cooked in a cranberry gravy.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lb fresh beef brisket (not corned beef)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can (16 oz) whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard

Steps

    Rub surface of beef brisket with salt and pepper. In 4- to 5-quart slow cooker, place beef. In small bowl, mix remaining ingredients. Pour over beef.

    Cover; cook on Low heat setting 8 to 10 hours.

    Remove beef from slow cooker. Cut beef across grain into thin slices. If desired, skim fat from cranberry sauce in slow cooker. Serve beef with sauce.
